hi everyone,
i have a huge problem and i would be utterly greatful if anyone could help me. i bought a new i-book from apple which is using mac os 10.3.9. i installed the developer tools and fink and it shows the directories fine, but when i want to compile stuff via terminal be it any application the compiler gives me errors. one example here: /sw/src/libnet-1.1.0-3/Libnet-latest root# ./configure beginning autoconfiguration process for libnet-1.1.0... checking build system type... powerpc-apple-darwin7.9.0 checking host system type... powerpc-apple-darwin7.9.0 checking target system type... powerpc-apple-darwin7.9.0 checking for a BSD compatible install... /usr/bin/install -c checking whether build environment is sane... yes checking for mawk... no checking for gawk... no checking for nawk... no checking for awk... awk checking whether make sets ${MAKE}... yes checking for gcc... gcc checking for C compiler default output... configure: error: C compiler cannot create executables i am logged on as root so thats not the problem. i even set the "chmod 755 /sw/bin/gcc" and thats not the problem either. i have already installed all of the unix appz on my g5 mac and everything worked fine there, so i dont know where the problem could be. i would be really greatfull if anyone could help. thanx in advance. alex |
