How to know where a program is located by itself?

Newbie Group: Members Posts: 1 Member No.: 718 Joined: 15-December 04	Hello, I'm a begginer here and not good at programming in UNIX platform. Now I'm making a C program on Hp-UX11i and the program needs to know its absolute path when it is executed. the current directory of the program is not enough, because the program may change the current directory... I need to know where it is located. Can anybody tell me how to get such information or good tutorial site? regards. maekawa

Administrator Group: Admin Posts: 679 Member No.: 1 Joined: 13-February 03	type "pwd" to get your current working directory.
