This was asked in the UNIX section of my chat forum:

What's The Easiest Way To Download Something From The Net To Unix Using A Command Line Interface?

and the answer is...
CODE
wget http://www.fred.com/fred.html

wget ftp://username:password@ftp.fred.com/fred.html


this simply downloads "fred.html?quot; from "www.fred.com" into the directory you are currently in. :D

That assumes you have wget installed ;)

Alternativly use lynx if its avalible. I'd advise putting the URL in " otherwise it gets funny with a majority of them.

You can also use curl and lynx.... ;)
