Hello everyone,
This is a great site - it looks good and the feedback to posts always seem very helpful. I've been a UNIX SA and am currently a Production Oracle DBA I particularly enjoy the challenge of writing shell scripts that will be used in the real-world, and over the years have developed my own "defensive" methods of working. I try very hard to avoid those moments of realisation you get when you've pressed ENTER without having thought it through properly first. You all know it! :) If I can help anyone out by pointing out potential gotchas or good techniques that'll help prevent a "moment" then I'll be happy. ...and hopefully when I'm in a flap I'll have built up some brownie points with you guys :) All the best, Andy Command line rules! |
