Hi there,

Expert cross platform on x86, beginner cross platform on Sparcs!

Tried Debian first, rather than Gentoo as it looked more complete in the distro.

First disk OK, got to 'Make System Bootable'. At this prompt I didnt know if it was going to write SLILO to root or anywhere else for that matter. Wasnt bothered so hit OK. Rebooted and booted back into Solaris.

Made an alias Linux to my disk@0,0:h (swap at /dev/sda7 and root at /dev/sda8 as per Sun dual boot instructions) at the OK prompt, rebooted and presented with 'File not executable' then booted from disk@0,0:a

Restarted installation and tried to create boot floppy, which failed whatever floppy I put in.

At moment doing a clean Solaris install to check and make sure floppy is OK. (new Ultra 60 that come with Solaris pre installed).

Any help much appreciated,

Thanks in advance,

Mark
