What's the best firewall software for Solaris?
Is SunScreen any good? Is there a version of ipchains for Solaris? Are there any better ones? |

I my MHO, i've used a few different firewalls on solaris, but the most efficient *free* one is Berkeley Packet filters (as used in OpenBSD) pf.
It's simple syntax which is readable english takes some beating to ipfw and iptables and also includes stateful packet inspection... The also-rans are Firewall 1 and EFS (the fore runner to SPF 200 aka SunScreen) on solaris. |
