Hello all,
Thought I better introduce myself as requested B) I'm new to Linux and Unix, but I think I've learnt a hell of a lot this year! Mainly through repeatedly breaking my Slackware installation in various ways, I'm just about to start experimenting with FreeBSD on my Dad's P4...not that he knows that yet :P bit of a covert operation! I also work for an IT Services helpdesk, supporting Windows2000/Citrix Thin client network, IBM mainframe and a network with about 2000 remote sites. I'm moving into the Network Services team shortly though :D so that'll be supporting the core network, varous LANs, anbout 40 Linux/Unix servers for various web services....umm and all the stuff that other departments don't want to deal with...should be fun! Also, I'm thinking of buying an HP C9000/360 so if anyone has any advice... Cheers, Steve |
