i recently dowloaded apache 2.******* and i have discovered a prob i use isdn and get a diff ip each time i connect and 2.******* doesn't seem to have anywhere to put these multi ips so evry sooften i can get my site other time i can't
any ideas |

you *could* write a script of some kind (probably perl) that read in your IP every time you connected and edited the apache config file, and then restarted it... i wouldn't have a clue how to do this script though.
Also, i'm pretty sure apache should respond anyway. Even though apache *thinks* it's running at 123.456.789.1 (for example), it will still respond if your IP is 123.456.789.2 because at the end of the day, a connection is still being made on port 80 to that physical computer. The last solution i can think of is to either stay connected 24 hours a day, get a static IP from your ISP. |
